Just to make sure things stay up to date, here's another thread. Keep this thread for progress reporting only, keep other discussion in other threads. Please reply to this thread so we know you are still working on your maps.

We have 9 completed maps, so lets work hard at getting the rest of the maps completed.

Still at 95 or something percent as I haven´t touched the map as of lately. I have this feeling that I could complete it in a couple of days but that particular couple of days keeps on being elusive to me.

Still 99%. Now that my 13-Years letter is done I'm going to focus on finishing what I started last month with tweaking the gameplay, and then I'll send it on ahead. I can assure you right now, however, if that map isn't at 100% for the April progress thread, I must either have been severely disabled or killed at some point this month. I'm not THAT lazy. :p

What do yall think about trying to get this released sometime over the summer?

Osiris's Legacy: have you done the end of your map yet? I would like to see it when you have it ready, so I can add connectivity to the conglom map.

Once again, Nuxius and AlysiumX haven't been around in a while, if anyone has any back-up maps they would like to contribute, we may be able to plug them into their slots if they don't return.

Summer would be fine for me I only have some minor stuff to do on map11 and one map to make I got some nice drawings allready so I expect progress to be quick on that one.

Thanks for the map I will make my exit different, about that back-up map I have something else in progress I could post a few screens later.

I don't really want to set a hard release date, but sometime over the summer may be nice, or at least get it into testing phase by then. I mean I don't want anyone to have to rush to get their map done. Say we release it at the end of the summer thats still about 5 months away. And we have a lot of maps with 25% or less left to get done.

I may work on a smallish map to possibly fit in as a backup map as well. Hopefully we won't need them.

I'm going to do a bit more playtesting before I say for certain that I'm done, but I've finished fixing all those small visual annoyances in my map. I'll say it's 99% complete for now, just in case I find anything wrong. I might also tweak the coop gameplay a bit more, which I hope is something other maps are including.

The only problem is, with the deathmatch area included, it weighs in at 33k segs, which is 1k too many for some ports. If it's an issue I'll just nuke the DM area and use part of the SP area instead.

Almost done with map11 I keep finding small things that could be improved, tested in Zdoom ZdoomGL and Gzdoom so far still need to test it in some other ports.

[edit]Just found an huge bug while playing with prboom I had an untagged S1 yellow door which started acting weird when I tried opening the door.

Nice intermission midi it sounds like Seinfeld am I right here :p

Ok made some progress on my starting room its not quite done yet but it took a few hours to get this room like I wanted to.

Its an bit of an copy and paste jobby but thats ok right for an starting room :p the teleporter will take you to an large rocky area surrounded by an lake of lava I still have to create that so its still in my mind and some bits are drawn on paper.

Static is not good?? what does it mean I'm still looking for evil sounding midi's I'm quite picky when choosing music found one midi from doom64 but it sounds messed up when playing ingame.

I'm having the same issue choosing a good midi. Map 13 is supposed to be an alien base, so all the typical Doom midis don't work well. I think I've been spoiled by the mp3 support in various ports *crazy*

Yeah got the same thing I thought found an good one the other day and wanted to use it for my map11 until I found out it was in mp3 format..bugger it sounded too good to be an midi I should have known :p

Ah well back to my map19 the starting room has changed an bit a few different textures and got rid of the pointy corners in the ceiling still not happy with it so I keep shaving on it.

As my PC has been crashing in any hard-drive based O/S, I'm only able to use my Linux Live CD. Therefore, until I can replace it, my mapping is at a standstill.

But at least I backed it up this time. So I didn't lose my work. :) Not like last time...

Looking great Dutch :)

Just as a note, I hadn't taken the time to play any one else's maps until I got the pre-merge last night. I enjoyed every one of those maps, and everyone is doing a great job.

Also, awesome idea on putting all our names in the final map :)

[edit]Ive been working on an small cave area today and yesterday making caves is not really my strong point so I tried my best to make it look like one.

Dark shot sorry this is the only area which is going to be pretty dark after this cave there is an huge outside area with an evil stronghold in the distance.I'm planning to use only pure hellish monster so no monsters with cybernetic parts on them.

Redesigned my entry way to be of relation to Exl's exit.

Anyone heard from CrazedImp? Is he still doing Map14? The exit is going to be a teleport exit so whatever happens to keep consistency all the beginning needs is the player starting on or around a room with a teleporter.

Also as there are a couple people who haven't posted in a while, if you would like to do a backup map let me know in here, I want to take note of who is interested in making a back-up map as I have no-list of who has expressed interest in the past.

The name "The Shores Of Hell" sounds good to me also but I think I will stick to my current name.

It certainly suits the map.

There's always a chance you might be able to switch slots if someone in the 21-30 group of slots doesn't finish in time or disappears completely. And even if all the maps are finished, it might be deemed appropriate to juggle the order a bit for the sake of theming of difficulty.

Map Progress has Stagnated for a bit for me... ill post a new report when I actually get some thing more done *wacky*

Reason for the slowness is because I took up a map I didnt expect to have to take for another Community map pack. So Now I have 3 maps. sorry... Im working on them all at the same time tho :)

I will probably have progress by tomorrow.

Really, if you're going to play an online game, play one with a small, decent community and one which won't take over your whole life. Doom and PSO (http://nomadpso.awardspace.com/) are the only online games I ever play, both of which have long ago lost "fad" status. It makes a huge difference, trust me.

As for my map, still around 30%, though I managed to do the transition from map09.

New shot still needs more rocky stepstones the lava does 20% damage and it needs to be bigger, how do I make the AD_LAVA texture to scroll down I took an peek at DooMAD his map29 but my scrolling is all weird and messed up I don't know how to fix that :(

One texture flows down nicely but the ones next to it are scrolling in all kind of directions, uhm total progress is 25%.

If there truly are backup mappers that want another slot, let me take away map17. the more i play/edit/look at it, the more i hate it. IF this throws a wrench into things, no problem, I will polish it up as I have and am doing and submit it. Anyone wants the spot though, its happily all yours. :)

Double check that the X offset for the texture is 0 and that the Y offset is -1, or maybe -2 if you want it a bit faster. If it's not that, then I'm not sure what the problem could be.

I did that ive set them all to -1 but it still wouldn't work why isn't there an simple scroll down action, but I will fiddle around with it some more it has to work.

If all else fails I will try to find me some lavafall textures.

Imagine running Vista Ultimate on 512 RAM, 1.25MHz CPU and GeForce4 MX? That's what I'm doing right now. :D It's not TERRIBLY slow but certainly not recommended.

But, once I verify it is stable, I'm back into the mapping! :)

Ok ive added my textures today and replaced the DBRAIN1-4 with lavafall textures I don't think anybody is using those the WFALL textures were allready in the recource wad so I couldn't use that for my lavafall textures.

My maps are hanging at the same completion atm. Most of what I have left is gameplay aspects, such as re-doing linedef types & triggers, and that sort of thing.

Macro: I think it could handle map33, but no map would exit to it. The only way to get there would be through selecting the level manually.

Also General_Greivous is Viewing User Control Panel everytime he is here. He should visit IRC more often.

In that case, assuming everyone agrees, I'd suggest moving Dutch Devil's Hell Awaits map from slot 19 to map26. It looks really good with the hell sky.

I know I know, I should be working on these maps... but I havn't been. I don't think Ill have ANY progress to report before the end of the month :( But I will really soon... hopefully :(... I'm just kind of taking a break from mapping on these two maps, don't wanna get burnt out. Anywho, so yeah same % as last progress thread.
