Hey can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Heres the problem when i try to enter the 3d mode i get a error saying that direct3d could not be started. How can i fix this? Should i reinstall DirectX?

I get that sometimes. Seems to happen more in windowed mode and more after I do something else that likes the video card, like watch movies. Last time I got the error I popped into full-screen 3D and then back into the windowed one. I don't know why that worked as well as it did.
