Doom patch

Ok i buyed Doom from an old store and the wad that it has its ver. 1.0, how can i patch it right, i downloaded the 1.9 patch from ID´s site but i don´t know how?, can someone tell me how to put the patch?

Aguilar, if I remember correctly, the patch is an executable file. You need to put the file in the same folder as your DooM exe, then double click on the file. It should automatically update your doom.exe (or doom2.exe).

Yeah I think the patch checks for the exe and then updates the iwad or both.
If it's not there, then it probably wont do anything.
