Hello all Towers 3000 has been released, it is a deathmatch map which uses Legacy's sector on top of sector and 3d water effects... it can be downloaded at my site :

Methinks that map would benefit from some work to align the textures (just based on the screens). I'll try throwing a couple bots at it and see how it plays.
EDIT: OK, never add bots in single player mode. The results are comical. :D
For a map that took two years it's honestly ugly as sin. Granted a DM map of this size shouldn't be very detailed but you didn't even align any of the textures on this one. Couldn't really get a feel for the play since the bots owned me. They're way too fast. hehehe
Visually it needs work though. Texture alignment isn't hard with a 3D editor like Doom Builder. Other things like shadows under the bridges and some lighting and/or detail for the interiors would work wonders too. The other thing is the dynamic lights for the street lamps look really odd if you have coronas turned on.
EDIT^2: Your close combat pack is fun. It still lacks any hint of an attempt to align the textures though.

... I know there are some textures that are misalighned ... I have only used edmap for the last ten years or so, and have grown accustom to it ... the problem is that the program is now obsolete, either that or there is a problem that illudes me, becuause it wont build the map in edmap ... so I just save it and use doom builder to build the map. Needless to say it grows very tiring having to switch betwwen programs just to test the map, it takes up a lot of time, so honestly I tried to finish it as fast as possible, i know its horrible to say but I just wanted to finish that project
In Edmap you can only aliighn from the top, bottom, or in between ... sometimes they dont allighn at all ... these be the textures you see missalighned ... I am trying to verse myself on doom builder so I can burry edmap but it will take some time ... For me it has always been about the gameplay ... the asthetics has always been a second priority to me because really ... this is Doom, its all about the gameplay.
Thank you for your input.

Edmap's texture align features look ok to me. It is hard to get textures to align on 3D floors in Legacy though. That said, there are lots of places in the map where they would align properly with some wall-height adjustment or a quick application of lower/upper unpegged.
As for gameplay improvements, the one thing I really noticed was the elevators. If you're inside and the elevator is at your level you want it to go down by just running on it rather than having to click the line. This would speed up the DM a bit and make it smoother to play.

That is a good idea ... though I prefer jumping through the windows ... the bots seem to like to aswell, I decided to not put a blockall on the windows to improve bot mobility. I forgot one window though, oops

Jumping through windows is awesome but the lifts should still act like the ones in the game, which will all lower or raise if you manage to walk onto them.
