You can always tell me how to improve what is not cool.

The idea behind the first is to be very clean. Since it will be inside a wad it won't matter much if there's doom writen all over it or not. But I can add a little something to make it feel more doomish. What you guys suggest?

Ah. There's the second picture. Wonder why I didn't see it before.

I like the one with the monsters, but the lost soul looks a little out of place. Maybe move it off to the side of the DOOM logo, and face it forward?

Very well, I shall do some commenting.

The texture and font on the background text is really nice, however, I do not like the roman numerals. Perhaps just 13 would suffice, perhaps you could write something different. Plain "DooM" could work pretty well.

Being good with photoshop, you could write the "the 13th birthday" with the doom logo's font by making up new characters in the same style.

I actually like the first one better but the contents of the text don´t really match, I mean, the wad could be called "The 13th Birthday". The colours and texture are completely rad.

As for the second, I guess it´s too cheerful for me... I like the cheerful idea, after all, we´re having a birthday but there´s something about it that doesn´t work apart from the blissful character.

Also, both of them are also quite hi-res... I wonder how the outcome will work when resized to 320x200 and Doom´s pallete.

I didn't mess with the XIII because it's the very root of the idea behind the hole image.

As for high resolution, both look nice resized to doom sizes. But I don't know about doom pallette. Someone gotta try it out.

Resized and applied the Doom palette... Still works nicely but I´m concerned a bit about the Doom logo on the bottom. When the Doom logo of the game appears on top it could look weird!.

Could make the default Doom logo all transparent so it wouldn't show.

The map layout in the background when the entire map is finished of course the black around the roman letters would be useful for it.
