Yeah CC3 is full atm and it serves an better purpose for this project, it will be slightly bigger than my other map textures might change ill just use whats in the recource wad now I'm not going to add more.

I´m sure that some lights on the ceiling of the first shot or small arches among the pillars will make it feel less empty :). He could also try the infamous "Double texture" trick on the walls to add variety. For the second shot a little border on the ceiling and floor would work on the walls: you know, just like 8 units thick and 16 units above and below the ceiling :). The other screen looks fine to me, maybe something on the ceiling or another ceiling texture.

Looks nice but why use support3 textures on those beams along the ceiling there are better ones in the recource wad.

More a concept picture, this area isn't finished yet.
Note that I was using hi-res textures... Was using them for something else and forgot to turn them off, heh.

I like dem shots though Crazed imp, nice outside area.
Logan, looks good so far, I think you should add more to it before you finish up though. :)

I personally would if I had the little thumbnails. They´re like flickering "Hey, click me" neon lights :). Anyway; I checked your shots and so far they look good, with a lot of work in details (as far as the Hexagonal tiling I see). Maybe the shots lack some life (monsters, you know) and they would look much better in a higher resolution :).

Macro your map looks awsome though thumbnails usually attracts more people :), but there is enough detail so it looks very interesting to me.
I think I have played the map a while ago, back then it allready impressed me your an good mapper and your map is very nice.

Yeah, yours :). There´s something I like about huge architecture in Doom. Okay, in classic Doom the hugeness of the things could be perfecly ruined by the impossibility of looking up and down and for the engine limitations but today things are different. If you added something to the building with the columns so it looked less empty it would be great... Reminds me of some NDCP map that had enormous buildings all over the place.

Looks very good Logan left and right shots look sexy but I'm not sure about the middle shot the architecture looks boxy it could do with some more detail ledges or windows.
NDCP2 is looking pretty evil :p I love it.

Kidding, no that's gzdoom. I'v added the DOOMDEFS lump to the resource so when the mega gets played in gzdoom it will have the dynamic lighting also. eg the electric lamp.

Opengl is giving me alot of problems lately when playing doom it just freezes up on me every time I play, in sofware it runs better.

Yeah thats weird, you know I was having problems with gzdoom with my old Ati card.
But no problems with gzdoom yet with my Geforce 6600.
Have you tried maybe a different colorbit?
Now that I think of it, normal zdoom software render would freeze up on me from time to time.

Nah I think reformatting my comp would be needed or rip that graphics card out again maybe the fan on it is kaputt or isn't cooling enough.

It's nothing really, just a small section I started on for the conglom level.
There's another room with a special effect :P
But yeah I like some of these textures!, did you make the floor texture there? or was that one of Dutch's? it has a nice clean look to it.

I just stole it from some other resource wad ;). I don´t think I have ever done a texture from scratch from this project. Well, the ladder one and the railings I sort of "did", also the DAN_MIR texture, that was done over a base Rocket made. Other than that...

Yeah Dani I made a split version for Macro's texture also, I think all 3 versions of that texture is in the resource heh.

I'v added a bit more to my conglom map section.Let's call it that for now because I have not yet even seen map16.
If it turns out differently than expected, maybe my current map04 could be the conglom addition and I'm making map04 now?

Like the cubical glass walls?, nothing new I know but I plan to make a maze out of them ;)

Whats neat about them is the background moves as you move.
I'll let you know if I fix up a more usable and maybe make a prefab of it :P
As is it's setup to be in a wall, but should be easy enough to make an overhead version of it also, using 4 different screens.
Ah I know !, one of those triangle shaped Doom3 information consoles for like central areas an such. oh yeah ;)
What do you think of this idea PS?
The newer area just added sort of fit's better with map05 anyways lol, but then the other area you'v seen sort of fits with your part of the conglom also heh.
Either way would probably work though. ;)

Yeah that's why I was wondering if it might be a good idea to swap what I have for the conglom with my map04 and see about adding it to the conglom instead. But yeah I'll have to see.

I wouldn't think swapping them since map04 is already a full map by itself.If anything, we could make one of them a back-up map in case someone can't finish a map.

Ok that could work too.. now that I think of it, the seg's are kind of up there in map04 but not an extreme, though with a ton of additional areas, then it could be a problem heh.

Yes actually, working with the resources and having to play all the maps to the end, single player and DM inspired me enough to start on that section for the conglom level.
Though now it's starting to turn into a whole map. :D
Yes all the maps rock so far, excluding map04 :P

Finished my exit on map11 its basicly an silver door when you press it the level ends map12 starts with the same door behind you.

The above screens are some early screens of an map I got lying around which could be used as an back up map just in case slots come free in the future.
I call this map "Quarry" for now but first I will going to work on map19 and let this one sit on my HD for a while.
