Hehehe, I just figured that on the collecter's edition, in Final DooM, all you had to do is change the game WAD file to TNT to play Evilution. LOL! It took me about 1 year to figure it out LOL!!!
Just a dumb fact I wanted to share...

Hmm... Now that I started a topic, then... How long did it take YOU to figure that out. (I bet myself most people knew it before, or as soon as they got the Collecter's Edition)

well, when i first got final doom i was 7 and dint know what a wad was nor did i know there were 2 games. i figured it out when i was 12 when i started playing doom again. thats becuase i didnt play for almost four years. so i figured it out in about 2 months of really playing, but if you count how long i actually had the game, then about five years

I knew a lot about Final Doom before playing it for the first time, so ... yeah, I figured it out "right away".

When I first got it I was like "Wheres Final Doom? All I see is TNT and Plutonia".

Of course at that point I hit my head on the keyboard...

I knew about the two differing episodes just after the first time I tried to run Final Doom. I saw the IWADs and thought "hey...there are two of them."

So I read the PDF manual, and lo and behold: two different versions of Final Doom. It still strikes me as odd that there would be two different versions of the same story right next to each other using the same game to play them, but I can't complain.

I flew over to Seattle specially to get Final Doom before its UK release date. Well OK, I had other reasons to be in Seattle, but the statement is true otherwise.

Yeah, I knew in advance that it was two 32-map Doom2 megawads. I had already played Icarus (TeamTNT's next project after Evilution, but released for free on the interwebs before Final Doom was out), so was expecting two more of a similar type. I don't recall whether I was aware that they were going to be iwads, or that a modified doom2.exe and an additional Windows exe was to be included. I think I just played them as pwads (using Doom2's doom2.exe), but I'm not completely sure - I've always tended to ignore the "story" texts in any case, and am not sure I would have noticed the teleporter bug back then.
