I think this has been covered somewhere else, but thanks to some intrepid work on someone else's part (either here or doomsdayhq, I can't remember), I found it. Getting it to work, however, is another matter. I've communicated with the author of this little gem, and I'll let you all know if we have managed to get the bugs worked out, come what may

It took a bit of trouble, but I got mine working.

I went into the zdoom.ini file (in application support/zdoom) and edited the section where it goes

[IWADSearch.Directories]
Path=.
Path=$DOOMWADDIR
Path=$HOME
Path=$PROGDIR

to say

[IWADSearch.Directories]
PATH=/users/..../Library/Application Support/ZDoom/

Where as that's the directory where I stuck my doom wads. You'd have to change it it to wherever you stuck yours.

thanks, cmart
so, I've messed around with this thing for about a month...and here's what I have got so far....
in the zdoom.ini, under IWADsearch.Directories, I put down as you said--Path=Users/johnbrine/Library/ApplicationSupport/ZDoom, and it seems to run...but nothing happens
*weep* I don't know what the heck else to do anymore. DoomLegacy was a bit of a challenge, but I"m at the end of my rope with this one..Even PrBoom was a bit easier...

any ideas welcomed

Oh man that sounds like torture.
Here's the ideas I've got, don't know if they'll work. Did you delete the other entries under iwad.search directories? Mine wouldn't work until I did that for whatever reason. You could also try looking in get info under your iwads and making sure the path under "where" matches what you have typed out. Other than that I'm clueless though.
