DOOM on Saturn

Does anybody here own DOOM for Saturn? I am picking up a Saturn in the week and I'd like DOOM for it, but I have heard some reviewers bitching like crazy about it, although the amateur 'reader reviews' I find usually aren't so bad.

So it's the same as the PlayStation version, only without the lighting effects, and a somewhat dodgy framerate? Still playable?

I do prefer to play games on consoles to PC, and I *love* the sounds and music in the PlayStation version, but I no longer have have and have no intention to buy a PlayStation.

http://www.classicdoom.com/ details exactly what Doom for Sega Saturn includes. Have seen some gameplay examples from YouTube (so you can do a search on there and see if you can find those videos, otherwise I'll dig 'em up), but haven't played the game myself.

My brother in law who has my old Saturn is giving me it back this week, so I might as well pick it up. I love the PSX version, but don't have a PSX. I'm sure this'll be close enough.
