dark colours

is there anything I can do to fix the dark colours?

My OS is windows xp, graphics card Rage 128 PRO Ultra GL AGP using Doomsday engine Version 1.8.6

Go into the Doomsday control panel and adjust things like brightness/contrast/gamma/ambient light level etc.
