I tried looking for this....and I am primarily a Legacy mapper....Where do the screenshots of Prboom go after you take them?????
Couldn't google it, couldn't find the shots I have taken....

I'm not sure if you have to create a screenshots folder and I couldn't be bothered to look lol.
alt+printscren it, then paste as new image in your paint proggy.

It depends on how you take them. If you take a screenshot using the user-definable screenshot key (see the Key Bindings menu, and change it to whatever you prefer if you're not happy with the default), then it puts the screenshots in the same directory as the exe you are running.

Otherwise you can of course do them by the PrintScreen method, but obviously you can only take one at time without leaving the program.
