Here an map from 24 January 1997.
In that time, it was the game with my friend to make the most frustrating map.
Do you want to be frustrating ? :)

I don't change the map, it is original so there are alignment errors.
It is just an doom2 map, must works on every port.

It is not an error, you must press the wall beside the window.
Frustrating he ? :)

Edit : there are no errors in the map, I replay it.
Only sometimes hobbing walls.

It certainly was frustrating ! I admit, I cheated by giving myself the automap and using DoomBuilder. :) .
One thing - the player can get trapped in sector 252 where Thing # 524 is. Maybe make sector 287 a lift ?
It was enjoyable to play.
Hey Sitters - any more older maps you have made ?

Yes I know, you can get trapped in these old maps.
Yea I have more of that old stuff. :)
I have 50 maps between 1995 and 1998.
I don't change them, it is nostalgic. :)

The only thing that really frustrated me about the first one was the lack of ammo in the second half (because of this I was forced to resurrect/give health/mdk etc to the end at that point), and the traps that were impossible to get out of without noclipping. Otherwise I found everything okay just by dumb luck or rapidly pressing against every wall in an area.
Of course, after about two minutes of trying I gave up on the second one. I swear if you've got anything worse you're going to make me hate you. :p

I got stuck in the same spot as ace did, and I still can get out, I've pushed on everwall up there (you mean use right?)

Yea you can play these maps without cheating.
But then you must have very much patience, and try outs.
that's why they are so frusty.
Hey ace I have maps much worse.
One with two linedefs, you must jump over them 100 times to build an stair, before you can goon.

Wim08 - Yes, another good ol' swear 'n' curse map. ;)
Player can get trapped in sectors 309, 314, 320 and 328. Also if sector 124 raises and the player is at sector 110, player cannot progess further - it happpened to me !
Still enjoyable ! *thumbs*

how did you make something in vanilla doom, that you have to jump over a linedef 100 times to make stairs?

It is not jumping but walking ( little mistake ).
For example you can use WR linedefs.
floor raise 24.
floor lower 8 above highest floor.
and more of that.
In this way you can build an stair by walking over the three linedefs or more, in an specific way.
When you want to make pist off people you must make something like this. :)
