First Post! Welcome to the Political forum and thank to Grimlock from the Raven-Games forum/community for offering to moderate it!

Please keep in mind that this forum is for talking politics and we expect you to not flame one anouther in here. So be cool and remember that we all have different view points and beliefs. Try not to take things personally if somebody says something you don't agree with. ;)

Well political talk didn't go too well here in the past so a stop was put to it. It just got to be too much and Phoebus recently decided to make a Political forum here similar to the one on Raven_Games Forums, which is right here (http://forums.raven-games.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=105). By the way Phoebus and I don't really want to have anything to do with the modding in here and like I said Grimlock decided he would. Personally I don't like Politics much and tend to stay away from that kind of talk for the most part.

Hopefully this will work out. If not, then at least it was given a chance. Time will tell.

I was drafted, I didn't volunteer :D For the record, I hope anyone doesn't give my views any weight based on the fact that I'm a moderator. And my views are by no means the official views of these forums, this site or anything else. If I write an opinion, it's my opinion and doesn't mean anything more than anyone elses.

Well either way, thanks for becoming a moderator for this forum. It is probably one of the harder ones to moderate due to the increased possibility of flaming. I'll agree with Alio, you are brave.

Thanks for saying that. I had to put that disclaimer in because I've been accused of that in another forum here, despite only having actually used my moderator capacity in about 3 posts in a year.

The theory espoused was that because of my status my disagreeing with people routinely meant I was opressing their speech and freedom and hammering them with the official position of these forums and what not.

That being said, I'm on a roll today posting because people are actually making points rather than the standard "your a clueless idiot" that I'm used to seeing as a response to many posts (not always mine :D )

And just because I disagree with someone 100% doesn't mean I have any personal dislike for them. One of my good friends on the other forum usually disagrees with me 99.9999% of the time.

I've run an Information Technology department for a decade. I'm used to people calling me and crapping on me. Of course there I get paid for it, but hey thick skin is thick skin regardles of how it's acquired :D

You know what rocks about this? I never gave much thought to an avatar before. Didn't really matter to me. But now that I have one, in a multi page thread, especially a highly active one, it's very easy for me to spot my last reply now so I can easily see what was posted after just by looking for my icon rather than reading all the names on the side.

You have to have 300 posts and have been here for 60 days. Once you manage both of those you should be able to change the title. It says so in the rules thread. :p

Thanks on the secondary admin. I'm kind of spreading out like an admin virus on the mindless games sites... :) Started out on the raven-games forums where I've been admin for a few years, and now I'm here... god forbid Phoebus puts a politics section in one of the other ones I'll probably have less of a life than I do now :D
