What to use for online

I have yet another question ( sorry! ),

Should I get Skulltag for playing online? Or learn how to use Legacy for online? I see that Skulltag has added weapons, items , and everything, which is cool but sometimes I just don't want all the complication of all those things they added ( runes? etc. ). And I read from Carnevil he's taking "classic doom" out.

I'm just wondering what I should get, and what you guys would reccomend. Skulltag I know would be a lot easier to jump into games. If you guys are like me and don't like overly "congested" games with a bunch of items and whatnot then does Skulltag go " too far" ?

I actually havn't even gotten online with Legacy yet, course I don't have my registered version of collector's doom yet I'm still playing on my shareware which is probably the problem why I can't get on. Thanks for any help.

all the extra stuff (like weapons and runes? haven't seen them) are only in the new maps that come with skulltag. Skulltag is still an AWESOME multiplayer port for doom. It's just incredible what they did with doom. I don't know if Skulltag has LAN abilities. I've tried with a friend but i think there was something wrong with the way we had it set up. Skulltag is definatly the way to go.

Well that's good, I was hoping there was some kind of difference like that ( about having the ST weapons only in their own maps ). I will definitely get that then, since going online with that is probablt MUCH easier than Legacy. Now I just can't wait for my DOOM Collector's Edition to arrive!
