Go to your Control Panel, go to the Avatar options, and as soon as you hit 150 posts (which you have), scroll to the very bottom of the avatar page and the ability to link to an off-site avatar or upload one from your computer should be there.

Darn, for some reason i was deluded into thinking it was 60 posts. At my current rate I should hit 150 by this time next year....maybe.

It used to be. I've no idea why it has changed. Its ridiculous that people can't just upload their own avatars from the start; Its not exactly like this place has much worth posting on.

Yeah ive changed it recently got bored of all these nice looking doomy avatars I kept using, so I made the most boring and ugly one I could't think of.

In that case ya do as 3drealms on their have done on their forums and forbid animated Avatars and Signatures, not that I'm complaining mind, I'm patient enough.

Animated sigs are forbidden here. Phoebus allows some animated avatars though.

What's the big deal with having to wait until 150 posts to get an avatar? Are people that impatient that they always want everything right away? Sheeesh. It's supposed to be a reward to those who stay long enough to get that many posts. How many message boards don't let you have any avatars or you have to choose from a small assortment of shitty default avatars that suck the monkeys ass. If this place is not worth posting on then why bother.

Avatars and custom title is one of the things that has to be earned. To be honest, it's better that way for both sides.

Not really. There's not as much spam on some places where you get avatars as soon as you join.

There was the most spam here when a couple of n00bics signed up and turned the Classic Doom forum into some sort of RPG forum. I don't even know how that would work too well without a forum setup for it, but they did it anyway. They didn't last long. Hehehe.

I beg to differ on that one. If you get involved with the discussions in the forums, its not too hard. Plus there are some spam threads if you know where to look.

I think 150 is worth the wait for your own pic it to means you have put your time,and becomming a regular on the board

150 is fine. You want a custom avatar? Show that you want it. Show that you will exually stay on the message board long enough to use it.

Animated sigs are forbidden here. Phoebus allows some animated avatars though. Animated Avatars are blocked now... the only way you can have one was to have had it set up before they were blocked... thats why I haven't changed mine.*bliss*

I've heard Phoebus has allowed some new ones on occasion. I might be confusing that with him fixing custom titles for people though.

Yeah, mine's a lot cooler and even then almost smaller than Looney's one.
