I've got a bit of a problem with my map. With the way it's progressing, I'd really like to be able to use a red hellish sky. The one I'm using at the moment really suits the theme. I'm aware the textures haven't been officially decided upon yet, but if they remain as they currently are, my map isn't in the correct slot for it.

The two possible solutions I can think of are:

If at some point a person drops a slot for one of the later levels, I might be able to switch.

Or there are MBF skies. Unfortunately, these aren't supported by all "Boom Compatible" source ports, which is what the project is aimed at. As far as I'm aware, it wouldn't cause problems with such ports, the sky custom texture simply wouldn't be displayed. If no one drops a slot, this might be a last resort.

If a port is 100% boom compatible, then it will support mbf skies. All the ports that are, do afaik.

I say go ahead and use them, from what i understand it won't screw up ports that don't support them. So it shouldn't be a big problem.

If a port is 100% boom compatible, then it will support mbf skies. All the ports that are, do afaik.Boom does not support them, and it is, by definition, 100% Boom compatible. And not all current Boom-compatible ports support this MBF feature.

But this was discussed previously, and IIRC the concensus was that it was OK to include an MBF sky, though it should be borne in mind that the default sky will be used instead in some Boom-compatible ports.
