Well, we first upload the whole issue to the website and then we do the forums in time. Due to AlysiumX being out for a while you can´t trust Fatal on doing his work on time so probably that´s why it took some days to appear on the forums.

Then, it has taken almost a month to release this issue due to people being busy or even out of touch... As soon as we have another bunch of reviews (like 4 our 5) we shall have another issue :).

Ahh... The coming soon thread is a little forgotten, maybe we should delete it since it´s not updated anymore. As for your map, well, have you submitted it?. Uploading a map to the idgames archive does not mean it being reviewed and submitting it also won´t help to get a review but well, personally I tend to attend the submissions before any other listed maps :).

yea the coming soon thread has been abandoned, but it was a nice feature to see which maps were going to reviewed soon.

The main problem with maintaining that is the lack of a good communications system... It would be no problem to weekly update this thread in the middle of the week with the wads that reviewers are working on, but it´s hard to work with little reviewers. Again, anyone is welcome to join.

I think yall should do more recruiting for reviewers. Then maybe we will see the reviews done more often.

No doubt about it but... Well, we can´t force anyone into reviewing, our team is small and there ain´t people that want to review so still we have to put the reviews with a low priority.

If you're having trouble recruiting new reviewers, then it's possible that the test wad you're asking people to review is part of the problem.

It's not an easy wad to say anything useful about, or one that is particularly enjoyable to playtest. It's kind of like asking people to qualify for an essay-writing contest by first writing an entertaining story about the contents of an empty box, and as such is acting as a barrier to people who would quite enjoy reviewing, and be good at it too.

Just a thought.

Or maybe the problem is the more standard one: that it's always hard to find volunteers for unpaid, time-consuming work.

While I won´t deny any of the statements made about the wad (I think we picked it up at random and maybe also because it was kind of annoying and hard to talk about) I tend to think that the second argument is much more valid... Also, the part related to the wad, I don´t know, maybe we set up a high standard: sometimes it´s hard to talk about a wad at all :).

If you keep on being patient you´ll have the NDCP review. There´s nothing else on my side but there are two more reviews to be read. I wonder where the reviewers are and how long this project can be put in a hold without falling asleep.

Yeah, I am... I´m already at map 23 or something so I´m near the end XD!. What I would need help with is with map 19 as it´s my own map and it wouldn´t be fair if I reviewed it. I think I told Fatal to do so but you can do it too so the first to hit, first to be published ;).

If that´s the case, would you at least prepare the list for our reviewers to feed upon?. The new reviews are already up (except the forum work) so we need more wads. And we need them quick.
