There's some suspicious business going on at the review site. consider checking it out (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml)!

As always, we will kill you tomorrow if you don't comment on our work.

Hangar41 (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#Hangar41) by Patrick N. Gorman. For Doom.exe.
Singleplayer and Cooperative. 1 map.
[txt] (ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/games/idgames/levels/doom/g-i/hangar41.txt)

Reviewed by AlysiumX. Score : 3

Should you get shipped to hangar 41, you will find that the lack of monsters will make the level simple. The real element that throws you through a loop is really the horrible design make up of this base. Hitting switches and playing guess and check with doors will become an instant annoyance for players that roam these halls. With very little intresting design and horrible texture choices as well as alignments, your better off just skipping this one. This wad gets a 3 out of 10.

Fort 3 (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#Fort_3) by Martin Mirejovsky alias Duke. Doom2.exe
Singleplayer. 4 maps.
[txt] (ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/games/idgames/levels/doom2/d-f/fort3.txt)
Reviewed by Fatal. Score 5

What a disappointment. This wad isn't any better from the last fort wad. I say, there has been some degrading in the quality of the levels. Bummer. Also all of the textures are still unaligned, making certain areas to look stupid. The levels are worse than in fort2.wad. Yup, you shouldn't play this wad. There are better ones around.

Note: This is the third part of the 5 wad series, ranging from fort 1 to fort 5. All of the wads are going to be reviewed in future.

The Hub (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#The_Hub) by Bob Larkin. For Limit Removing port. Single player and coop. 1 map.
[txt] (http://www.doomwadstation.com/descent/descent3.html)
Reviewed by Danimetal. Score: 6.5

The Hub is a level that offers a tight challenge in terms of gameplay and a puzzling structure that makes you feel lost during some time in certain moments of the wad. Still, if you decide to play this wad, keep in mind that it´s called "The Hub" for one reason. As other wads from the author, the battles are hard but I found thes to be more accessible so if you´re looking for a wad that delivers tight gameplay without being excessive, you could as well try this map.

Rim - The Colony by Frank Polster (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#Rim)
Requirements: Legacy
Play types: Single Player, Untested DM/Co-op.
# of maps: 1
Reviewed by: Crash OverRide
Score: 5.5
[txt] (ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/games/idgames/levels/doom/p-r/rim.txt)

Description: "You are on Rim, a small planet covered mostly by water." That's what the author says at any rate. Small Water/Base map is the theme here, with wide open spaces & a few(yet badass) demons to fight.....as you check out what happened to the research facility you were assigned to.

Rim 2 - Cere (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#Rim2) by Frank Polster
Requirements: Legacy
Play types: Single Player, Untested DM/Co-op.
# of maps: 1
Reviewed by: Crash OverRide
Score: 6
[txt] (ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/games/idgames/levels/doom/p-r/rim2.txt)

Description: A small map continuing where Rim.wad leaves off. ***After making your way past the guard outpost, you find yourself instrange surroundings.......red bloodshot colored skies and twisted trees surround you. What kind of research has been going on here, exactly? And how will you escape?*** Something to pass the time between DLing better wad files, or if you're bored and/or have read the Aliens book(Labyrinth) it's based off of.

Tanis Base (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr008.shtml#Tanis_Base_SP)
Wad Author: Udderdude
Mode: singleplayer, Deathmatch
Wad based off: Tanis Base by Rodrigo Acevedo
Reviewer: Vermil
Port Required: Zdoom

Tanis Base is a small, very Doom3 styled DM map by Rodrigo Acevedo. Udderdude altered the thing placement and removed a couple of doors to make this single player version.
