So yeah I am having issues installing these games to where I can get the sound to work the graphics and everything are fine I have a ATI 9200 card it seems the games are working fine on that very smoothly. The Sound card I am using is a Sound Blaster Live 24 bit just a basic Sound Card but it has some cool features and even supports 5.1 surround sound and has EAX stuff. I am having sound issues and I think the issue is idk how to install these 3 games and get the sound card to work with them I am running Windows XP but I just need help installing these things so the sound will work or will come in better plus it gives me all these options and I have no idea what to do with them like for Sound Card options, Sound FX options just that junk it says "DMA" and "Available Ports" how do I get this sound card to work?

Download some sort of source port. jDoom, Legacy and now on gzdoom seem to be the most popular ports.
I like jDoom the most.

Yeah, a port should be the best solution.
And the graphics card doesn't make much of a difference considering that unless it is chopping up severely it should have little effect on sound and the fact that Doom is software-based.

its ok I just disabled the sound effects I can't get the thing to come in its downloadable I got it off Limewire I plan on buying the collectors disc with Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom as soon as I get a bit of money. For now this works a source port probably won't work since its not a registered version.

I think that most source ports support also the shareware doom.

Yes, most do indeed support shareware although you will not be able to play custom levels/mods with shareware, considering you can't in the first place with Vanilla Doom shareware. However, if you plan on buying the collector's edition with all four games you might as well get a source port now. Most don't take up that much space alone except perhaps Doomsday with all of its add-ons.
Here are some source ports in case you are interested:
Doom Legacy (http://legacy.newdoom.com)
Mainly for editing functionality, such as scripting and architectural stuff, and OpenGL stuff.
ZDoom (http://www.zdoom.org)
Mainly for editing functionality, especially scripting. Software mode only for that "nostalgic" Doom look (though obviously not created that way for that reason). Removes Doom's original limitations by far.
ZDoom 2.0.96x Community Build (http://www.zdoom.org/wiki/index.php?title=ZDoom_Community_Build)
A custom build of ZDoom with more features, custom weapon support, etc. The standard for most ZDoom users.
GZDoom (http://grafzahl.drdteam.org)
ZDoom times twenty. Adds several effects, especially OpenGL mode, and has support for Legacy wads as well as (soon anyway) 3D models. Many many more features than ZDoom.
Doomsday (http://www.doomsdayhq.com)
Mainly for adding pretty effects to make Doom look oh-so-shiny. 3D models, lens flares, dynamic lighting, skyboxes, and so on. And with your graphics card it should run fine most of the time. Sadly it has no Boom support as of yet (see below).
PrBoom (http://prboom.sourceforge.net)
Keeps the feel of the original Doom engine while adding a ton of editing effects. Having the Boom editing features is generally a standard for most ports today (even Doomsday is supposed to be capable of it in the next version).
Chocolate Doom (http://www.chocolate-doom.org)
Keeps intact all of the aspects of the original executables so it runs on more recent platforms whilst keeping a classic feel. Be forewarned however that it also keeps the aspect of limitation which means playing a level that is for "limit-removing" ports will not help for this port.
Vavoom (http://www.vavoom-engine.com)
Has a ton of features such as 3D models, 3D floors, slopes, etc. etc. However these features tend to be really wonky and oddly set up. Just sort of out-there.
EDGE (http://edge.sourceforge.net)
Mainly built for enhanced TCs. Has some new editing effects. Don't know much more about it than that.
Risen3D (http://risen3d.newdoom.com)
Like Doomsday, but has more editing functionality such as 3D floors and slopes, and has less of the straining effects of Doomsday to acheive optimal performance.
Did I miss any?

At least the multiplayer ports. Skulltag and ZDaemon.
Now we need to wake Doom Dude to make a sticky post about the ports to prevent these questions in the future.
Oh, and we mustn't forget Doom95!

Ah, I had a feeling I forgot a couple. And of course there are the hundreds of low-brow ports that not many use, but at least I covered most of the popular ones.
And I wouldn't know anything about Doom95 considering I have never used it (and I get the feeling I should be glad about it). :p
