wondering if someone might have links to DooM 3>4 episode megawads that might be lost releases or were unknown to the community. I'm a big fan of DooM 1, currently playing Vengeance...

The usually most wellknown "Megawads" or "Total Conversions" often use DOOM II as basis (because of more monsters and weapons). You can find some good collection sites by searching the web for e.g.
"eternal doom" "alien vendetta" icarus requiem
(only the few I remembered right here), so I got e.g. this page on DoomWorld (http://www.doomworld.com/links/?category=17). Google is your friend...

Hmmm, good but little-known 3-4 episode wads for (Ultimate) Doom? Not many I can think of.
If you'd asked this question about 1-episode wads or similar Doom2 stuff, I could think of quite a few.
As it stands:
hyena (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=11786) (2 SP episodes + 1 DM). If you use a port, it must have highly accurate dehacked support (works OK for me with prboom-plus (http://sourceforge.net/projects/prboom-plus)).
Heroes (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=13366) (a compilation megawad, but a good one, and Al Dewey tweaked many of the maps to give the overall wad more consistency).
You could view Eternity (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=1046)/Serenity (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=1033)/Infinity (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=2016) as a 3-episode project, though they were distributed separately, and they are quite well-known.
Edit: I've just noticed which forum you've posted this in... If you want to play Hyena in jDoom, then you may be out of luck.

DEATH TORMENTION (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=9906)
DEATH TORMENTION 2 (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=10481)
DEATH TORMENTION 3 (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=14017)
These are episode 4 replacements, if you really want Ultimate DOOM full megawads try 2002 A DOOM ODYSSEY (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=11657) I'll post back cause I'm sure there are some more I just can't remember right now.
However, these are well known by most in the community. I'll keep looking for rare and unknown ones for you.
EDIT:
Some more?
CRUSADES (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=10386)
THE EVIL UNLEASHED (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=941)
INVASION (http://www.newdoom.com/hosted/dlw/Doom1_2.shtml#Invasion)
INVASION is by the same guy who made VENGEANCE which is also a full Ultimate DOOM replacement but the link I gave you there is for the Legacy source port because I can't seem to find the other one right now.
***These by the way may or may not work with Doomsday.***
Do you want only 3 and 4 episode replacements?

INVASION is by the same guy who made VENGEANCE which is also a full Ultimate DOOM replacement but the link I gave you there is for the Legacy source port because I can't seem to find the other one right now. Here's a link for the unmodified Invasion: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=8721
This should not be confused with Invade1 (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=256) and Invade2 (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=944) (also called Invasion), which are two outstanding single-map wads.
