I received many complains about the fact that the server hosting my files was terribly slow.
A lot of you said to me that they don't even try to download Vile Flesh, only because of this fact!!!*eek*
Ok ok ok.... *idea*
So, I made something for you:
Vile Flesh (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jiveforyou/Vile.zip) is now hosted on my French site, with a high speed for downloads.

There is an important warning about the way to play it because of a bug with the opengl lightings!!!

I downloaded it when it was slow.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Vile Flesh. In terms of gameplay, there are too many chaingun guys ambushing the player. It gets tedious to do all those quickloads. In terms of the look, I don't think Legacy features make it very interesting, and I was a bit disappointed that you didn't fix all the badly aligned textures from the original version.
On the plus side, some of the maps do set up some interesting spaces to play in. For example, there are lots of places where you fight around central arenas and have to unlock the surrounding areas in slow progression.

I didn't had in mind to correct and/or to change the design of the maps, which is the prerogative of the author himself, apart some very specific places.
But I could do it now, if you think that I should do it.

I didn't have any particular problem with them!!!
I didn't have to quickload at many times a saved game.*bliss*
And it's not because I was editing ALL of the maps. I was doing it AFTER having played.
Plus, I always play all of the wads on skill 4 *thumbs*
But... You have to understand where you must go and where you have to stay while entering in a room. They are the first objective when you come inside a room, even if there is a lot of other monsters, apart the lost souls.
That said, I consider that they were badly coded (chainguners and lost soul), at least with the modern ports and the way for ZenNode, particulary, to give them an even more efficient activity!!!
