FATAL

Howdy how all review readers out there. Today we've got some fine wads, along with some approved joke wads and neglected joke wads (try to find them!).
Read on here (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr003.shtml) in case you wish to skip these short versions.
I would've had a review also on board, but I submitted it couple of hours too late. Well, see you next time then!

Ever wanted to try out that BFG really badly? Now is your chance with a wad by Walter "daimon" Confalonieri Called Wolfenshit 3D Act 0ne: Das Wolfenshit Basen. Believe me when I say, the wad lives up to its name. With its large rooms and tons of monsters, it really doesn't have a point other than just shooting your gun off with out trying to be shot yourself. Overall I believe this wad is really not worth a play, being that it has a grand total of 5 undetailed rooms, and no health.
WOLFENSHIT 2 (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr003.shtml#Wolfenshit_Act_2:_Das_Terror)
Wad Author: Daimon (aka Walter Confalonieri) and possibly a second unknown author
Reviewer: Vermil
Port Used: Zdoom
Port Required: Zdoom
this map should be completely avoided. The nicest thing I can say about this map is it could be a good stress reliever (i.e. blowing away legions of foes in God mode with a Rocket Launcher of BFG).
No Brakes (http://reviews.newdoom.com/reviews/ndr003.shtml#No_Brakes.) by Lutrov71 and Cyber-Menace for Limit Removing Port.
Single Player. 1 map.

Reviewed by Danimetal. Score 5.5:
A map that starts out rather well and hard until traps start making their appearance until it finally becomes a battle of luck. There are both high moments and very low ones but, sadly, this wad features a lot of hard battles, unfair traps and hordes of monsters that will only make happy the most hardcore fighters out there (or the ones that best manage the save and load features). If you play it patiently you may get the hang of it and find some worthy moments but you´re likely to find some others that are not. The result is a highly unstable wad in all senses... Not a must play, but a could try.

Description: Nice looking Quake style map pack, with an oft used yet nicely played out storyline. You are a troubleshooter, a tough guy, sent in to shut down a slipgate deep inside a research complex. Whether it was built by humans or discovered by them is unknown, as most details were kept secret by your superiors for obvious reasons. These levels have BOTH the Quake look/feel, along with the doom goodness you've come to love. You will also receive objectives for each level, thus immersing you even further into what is going on around you.

Description: Non-linear nostalgia type map, based on the cult horror movie series called Phantasm. This is a MUST PLAY for any fan of the series, with several custom sprites/items, as well as a few sounds straight from the films themselves....to keep you on the edge of your seat. Your mission is simple: You have just found the Tall Man's lair(Or one of them, at any rate), and have vowed to find and destroy him once and for all.....if you can, that is. BOY!
