heyas
i had contacted DD about submiting my already in-porgress map if you guys still needed one. its about 50% done atm. and he said finish it up for the 14th :)
and i said i was going to be able to, but now im not so sure
the map contains mostly custom textures, from a wad that i combined from other texture packs. thing is i dont know to get the individual textures out of the wad that my map uses
the full pack im using is over 20mb
another thing keeping me back is my job, i dont think ill be able to have enough time to even touch my computer untill christmas
im really sorry guys, i wanted to contribute something, but RL has me by the balls :(
i dont really want someone to finish it for me either, as its my first map and id really like to finish it myself at some point. but maybe it wont be so bad :) just aslong as ya let me release my own version afterwords

The only problem with a solo release could be using the NDCP textures... I´d say most of them are made by Doom_Dude... This reminds me to ask if I could get some I´m getting real familiar with.

You get familiar with textures? Hahahah.
I just use the textures that don't make me want to vomit when I look at my map.

No problem Xtife. Even if you did get it done it may not make it into the NDCP.
You can use XwE to gear up your wad. Make a new file in XwE, copy and paste the PNAMES and the TEXTURE1 lumps from the Doom2 wad into the wad you made with XwE. Then make new markers (go to Entry / New in menu) and name the markers PP_START, PP_END, FF_START and F_END. Now go into your resource wad(s) and find the textures you know you used and start copy and pasting them into the new wad (may be a bit tedious.. hehe). All textures go between markers PP_START, PP_END and all flats go between the markers FF_START and F_END. After you paste a texture or a group, right click on each one and click on 'add to texture'. With flats you don't do this but instead you must click on each flat then go to the menu (Image / Save As Doom Flat). If your using a custom sky then make 2 markers named P1_START and P1_END then put your sky in between those.
Once you have your resource wad geared up, then open it in XWE and go to the menu (File / Merge) and browse for your map. This will add your level to the wad.
Theres probably an easier way to do this but this is the method I use and it works. I also don't like Wintex.... but somebody else might tell you to use it. Anyhow once you learn to do it this way, you can build your resource wad as you need new textures and then later you don't have to do all this work at one time.
If you do all this stuff and your missing texture in your reource wad, run the level in Legacy (other ports like Doomsday crash when a texture isn't in the wad that should be). Legacy will report any missing textures in the console after it loads.
--------------------------
The textures I made for the NDCP are all mostly named NDCP001 thru 035 and the ones named DDWAL001 thru to 023...or so. The Flats I made are all named NSLIME01 to 23.
The other texutres were submitted by Espi, iori, Mystic, DoomedAce and danimetal. There might be a few others but I'm going by memory here. :p
If anybody wants to use the textures I made in a single map release, then by all means go for it.
