Hello people, here they go:
1. Would it be possible to compile the latest CVS with the old GL Render just for testing purposes?, if so, is it worth bothering with?, I get massive slowdowns when walking close to a wall in software mode 1024x768 (XP Pro+SP1 here).
2. Are we getting different blood colors for different-blooded enemies? :D
3. Will I still get wrongly named Final Doom maps if those DEH's aren't loaded within?.
By the way, just checked out the latest EDGE beta, it has some neat options you Legacy developers should consider.
Regards.

Odd, I don't get slowdowns in software and I'm on a pretty old computer. I doubt anyone's going to want to hack the old GL stuff into the C++ source.
I bet the Final DooM thing will get fixed at some point.
What options do you have in mind?

1. I don't think so, not without considerable changes to the code. The new Legacy engine is designed to be able to run several maps simultaneously, each with its own OpenGL representation.
I haven't seen such slowdowns myself, but the current CVS version does have some playsim glitches left that were introduced when I made fixed_t into a C++ class. We'll fix them eventually.
2. Perhaps, but only after DECORATE support.
3. No, now Legacy handles tnt.wad and plutonia.wad properly without any DEH hacks.

Smite-Meister, what does that exactly mean???.

That we'll maybe get different blood for different enemies after DECORATE support is added. If you don't know what DECORATE is play this (http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=13714) with GZDoom.

I meant... Decorate support?. In Legacy?. When???. I never read about it being implemented (or at least I only saw it as a possibility). By his words one could assume that Legacy is gonna get Decorate support so I was just wondering about it,
