You'll have to bear with me -- having just gotten Doom Legacy up and running tonight (I'm a few years behind the times, aren't I?), I've been running around and just trying to get used to it. I have a question that maybe some of you guys can help me out with.

When I try to start an internet server, I get an error that closes out Doom II / Final Doom and says, 'UDP_Bind: Unknown Error!" .. is this anything of my doing? If so, how would I fix something of that sort? I'm not very familiar with networking and the like, so it's more or less gibberish to me.

Thanks, guys! :)

Hrm, this is a known problem but I can't remember and can't find the answer. Did you do a forum search on "UDP_bind error"?

Yeah. :) I came up with some people talking about UDP as being a network protocol ... although I'm still confused! ^ ^ I'm going to have to do some reading up on network stuffs before I can act like I know what it means.

It basically means that legacy cant hand shake with the given protocol. If you have a firewall of some sort, allow the exe and or port#. But in most cases a re-new of your connection or a reboot will fix that. ;)
