I´m most sure that, being a drummer, Nomad could like this band and its crazy beatbox.

I do really dig their drummer. I like their bassist too, if only because he looks like a robot when he plays.

Not a huge fan of their music though. I liked a few songs on End of All Things to Come, but for the most part, they all sound the same, which gets tedious. Their "intricate" music (or "math metal" as they call it) is a bit hard on the ears sometimes, and just plain doesn't appeal much.

I may end up going to see them live next month, though. I don't know if I want to, though. All the other bands playing with them suck, so I kind of doubt it.

Take that long quote!!!. I never liked them when they started with that "Dig" single and stuff but you know, I got to actually listen to the album and spot some things I liked (being a "math" player myself :P) along with some things that I completely dislike. If there´s something I definitely like of them is that they can actually be quite emotional and express stuff in some songs but can definitely screw in others... I suppose it´s about how much you´re accustomed to it. Apart from that, these two guys are really good players: the bassist can be really original sometimes.

Well, I listen to music more for the lyrics than anything else. That's probably because I'm a lyricist in my local melodeath band. :)

If I were to write lyrics for a song, I'd write them in either a foreign language that my target audience doesn't know, or make a language up (Much like the old 70's techmetal band Magma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magma_(band))), because it really doesn't matter what they say--tone and execution are all that really matter. You can have a song with the wildest guitar riffs, sickest drums, and shitty lyrics, and the whole thing is ruined.
