View Full Version : R3D V=1.70 errors

basic game mode works ok, but Risen3D had some errors with:

1-none of the patches,1-4 are working
2-get error saying Abbs patches are not compatible with V1.70,Abbsv4 etc;.
3-Chaingun animation is a little choppy
4-i think the weapons fire is lighting the whole level in your LOS,don't know if this is a problem or not just something i noticed!

I got that same error trying to use the Abbs patches. Couldn't understand that as the website said they had all been updated to only work with the new version. Maybe the page has been updated for the new release, but not the files. (?)

I didn't notice any of the other things. Just being able to mouselook without holding down a key was a fantastic improvement over the last version I had. Excellent! :)

Regarding the patches and Abbspack - they work correctly with 1.7.00. Have they been installed correctly ? Are the correct options been chosen in the Launcher ?

@psyren - Keeping a key pressed down for mouselook has never been a problem. The only way I know of not getting mouselook to work is having both mouse look and joy look to YES.

have no way of knowing if it was installed correctly,it only shows that files will be installed in C:\Risen3D!, and yes i click the options in the misc tab... *wave*

There is a new service release for the patches and abbspack on the webpage. http://risen3d.newdoom.com/ this should solve the problems hopefully.

I have no problem at all, everything works OK.
Did you install everything clean.
Remove the old version totally.
Install Risen3D.
Installs the packs.
