I have occasionally seen this error also. Usually relates to nodes. If the iwad\pwad has remained unchanged there should be no problem. The iwads cannot be "rebuilt" using risen3d anyway. For the Iwads, just build the r3dgwa file only.

Where is your Risen3D folder located? Try moving it to: C:\Risen3D

I got the same error when the Risen3D folder was on my desktop. Moving it to C:\Risen3D fixed the problem for me.

I just started using the newest Risen3D and it seemed much better than the previous version.

My question is regarding jumping. I have it enabled as it is required for a map I'm working on. There's a stack of boxes leading up to a ledge and another window to jump through. I can jump up to the ledge, and I can jump up and down while on the ledge, but the forward control to actually jump through the window does not work.

It seems that jumping requires a certain amount of room to work. With JDoom, it's possible to stand next to an object 64 high and jump up onto it. With Risen, I can't even jump onto a 32 high object without backing away first.

Does anyone know if this is coded into the game, or some control option I've missed that I need to change?

It's a pity because I'll have to state the map is not compatible with Risen3D if I can't figure it out. :(

i belive it's a Risen3D thing. i don't know about the newest version because i'm using an older one, but that's how it works.

@psyren - I can confirm this is a Risen3D "bug". I just did a simple test using doomsday 1.7.8, which rised3d is based on, and jump-move forward worked.

I will inform Graham of this now.

Regarding the Risen3D jumping issue this is intentional ...

This was Grahams reply ...

The jump issue will stay as is. You can't jump up on a ledge without
forward momentum and you can't have forward momentum if standing against a
wall. To allow this can lead to other problems - hence the difference
between R3D and jDoom. The problems are less likely to be encountered in
the maps jDoom is limited to run.

This issue has now been resolved. Graham changed his mind :)
