legacy dedicated server

I've got this machine running vectorlinux acting as basically super server for my apartment. Is it possible to run doom legacy on it as a dedicated server with no video output? i thought i saw something about remote logins from the console (of one of the players machines) and stuff... somewhere...

If you want, that is if the info is handy for it?, you could run a legacy master server maybe.
