I have doom mania and i can't get it to work with Ultamate Doom, can someone help me??

At $3, I wouldn't be expecting it to be an amazing piece of software. Make sure you're running it in DOS. Otherwise I dunno why it wouldn't work.

Well, it doesn't seem to think of the Ultamate Doom cd as a doom cd, so when it tries to install a mod it says "Insert doom cd".

I'm not sure if it'd make a different, but perhaps the cd looks for the original Doom cd? By that I mean Ultimate Doom being a re-release with an extra episode, maybe it's looking for the first actual Doom with only the three original episodes?

I'd just try looking on the CD to see if you could access the wads directly from it, rather than using the installer/unpacker/whatever that comes with it.

Well, the trouble is, all the wads and packs and sounds and whatnot all have a batch file to run themselves, so no, i cannot directly acess the wads, can i get some help??

wow. you wasted $2.95 on doom mania? you could have bought 2 items from the dollar store, and hit walmart for a can of RC cola.

Like Nexius says, just copy the wads directly from the CD to your favorite source port folder like ZDoomGL or Risen3D and see if the wads run with that.

That is what I did with D!Zone and D!Zone II and it worked fine.

You don't have to use that DOS crap that comes with the CD to simply run the wads with a source port, people seem to always forget that.
