hi everybody out there :)

i was playing the "zombies!"-mod for doom some years ago. now i want to play it again but its somehow a bit difficult because of WinXP and so on, doesn't matter.

in fact, Zombies is a pretty good conversion and it would be cool if it was "pimped" by doomsday *giddy*

if anybody wants to have a look at "Zombies!", here's the adress: http://www.mopedseiten.de/und_sonst/zombies/index2.html

please, tell me if it's (maybe already) possible to play Mods/Conversions with the doomsday-engine.

Well of course it is possible. Use the launcher to add the WADs. See, I don't yell at him for not reading the basic documentation.

thank you, its almost working. i can play the levels, but there are still some problems in game (for example. when one zombie wants to shoot, he turns into a cyberdemon and is shooting rockets)

ps: sorry if i forgot to read something.

You also need to load the deh file that comes with the TC for it to run properly.

To load a deh with Dday, place it in run/Jxxxx. Then add "-deh xxxxxxxx.deh" to the command line.

I don't know how to with Snowberry, but if your using Kickstart, you can either enter a command line for each game by clicking on the "other options" tab or you can enter a global command line (i.e. one for all the games) by clicking on the "misc" tab.

If you don't use a launcher and have windows, create a shortcut to Jdoom.exe and "add -deh xxxxxx.deh" to the target field after Jdoom.exe.

In kickstart, try just checking the option "allow multiple dehacked lumps". It should be under the top "misc" tab.

hmm....iam trying but nothing helps. i added "-deh zombies.deh" to the command line, but still the same problem. :( goddamn

EDIT: okay, the enemies are working pretty well now, too. so the last problem is, that some sprites/textures/objects(?) aren't working properly. what can i do about this ?

everything works here, but when the zombie that has been converted from a cyberdemon shoots there is a bug tho, but that's jDooM's fault, actually both :)

I think I know. :)

Jdoom relies much on external files. Other than dehacked. So, you would need to create a DED file containing all the data that was in Zombies.deh
