hmm, i take it you used smudge effect for the sides of the clouds, erm, what do you call them? nebulas? nice effect, you used a computer, right?

I used a bit of the smudge tool in photoshop, but its mostly using different shaped brushes to erase bits around the edge.

Not bad haz, not ba at all, I think that the blue earth-ish planet needs some more depth to it, it doesn't really seam to be a sphere. the nebulae are awesome, try copying them, blurring them and then set the layer mode to linear dodge or overlay. About the Supernova (the greenish star like thingie) it should have some more power and try adding some halos from the flare.

Not bad at all, has alot of potential, so keep working on it:D
