I finally got it!
After two full permits expiring from laziness and one failed test, I have it!
Went for my first un-chaparoned ride a few minutes ago. I had no idea what I was missing.

Congratulations! Driving looks hard.
Or walking any distance. *bow*
I dunno. I like walking a lot. It's also fun being driven around and ranting at people, or just sleeping.

<sarcasm>Yeah, because you couldn't do anything when opening your door before you got your license. ;)</sarcasm>
However, congratulations! Drive careful!

Actually, it's the other way around. Gas prices are shit high and rising. Plus, you got your oil changes, wind-shield wiper blades to replace once in a while, brake fluids, new tires, and more to look forward to. Congratulations to your future!!!!
When I got my license, I thought I could travel to places where I wanted to go any time. I thought I could escape the threshold of being stuck in a house all day, or not begging my mom for rides. I was wrong. Sure, it's nice to go to a friend's house every now and then. But what do you get out of it? Sacrificing up to $2.20 a gallon of gas for a couple hours of good times?
But it's all about how you manage your money. If you can limit yourself from going places, then you won't have any problems until your car f*cks up.

yeah. its all fun and games till someones legs gets cut off by a flywheel spinin at 5k rpms. ever since i got my rx7 i havent played doom one bit. infact i gave all my doom games the highershelv in favor of my favorite spining things, rotors. and boy o boy do they spin.
you got it right gasoline is expensive, but boy o boy when your car shoots fire and revs to bout 12k rpms from stoplight to stoplight then its for sheer fun.

Well, here is an update:
I have a car! Got a near mint-condition Nissan '91 240SX SE (2-door coup) for $900
Biggest problem is a burnt-out highbeam. It has all aftermarket sound system, complete with 6-cd changer, two (TWO!?!) amps, two (TWO!?! again) subwoofer leads. He took the subs, but in my (limited) experience that's the cheapest part...
He even threw in a replacement light for that aformentioned problem!
Strange how all these good things are happening at once.
Oh, I should mention I found decent insurance for only about $90 a month - as opposed to geico and friends 200+ monthly. That gives me some gas money.

remember, you have to touch the bu,b because if you dont, the lack of oil on it will cause it to burn out.
nice car. it better not be an automatic. put a turbo on it.

There are more rewarding ways to get poon than cars with turbos. DooM could even be involved in some of them. :p

Hey RX7. Why don't you get an RX8?
Nomad

I bet my dad's '88 RX-7 could kick your RX-7's ass. They don't make sports cars like they used to.
I myself don't drive. Don't need to. Cheyenne is small enough, I can ride my bike anywhere. Sure, it's not as fast, but I'm not getting fat like everyone else in this country. The only problem, is that it gets really fucking cold in the winter here. It's possible that I will actually get my license this fall for that very reason.

Well, it definatly gets me from A to B, and the sound system pretty much kicks. Just need to get a pair of subs.
Not concerned with getting 'poon' - never had it so I don't really crave it. Too busy right now anyways.
BTW, fatal. your sig has a few problems, it should be "men" not "man". Earth should be capitalized. You need a comma after sarcastic.
You've just met one of the most pendantic men on the Earth. Enjoy! :p

lol. my best friend has a 10th anni edittion. and no i dont like third gens. im not realy a car guy, i like cars, but your not gonna see a car poster on my walls. mostly women in bikinis.
Nomad

I have band and videogame posters all over my walls ;P
I get steady "poon" from my girlfriend anyway, so I don't have to look at all those women in bikinis.
Back on topic, however, it looks like I'm going to have to get my license soon anyway--My grandma is due in for surgury in two months, and she's going to need to have someone drive her to and back from the hospital. My mom lives in Arizona, and there's not really anyone else who can drive her. So, shit.
I almost killed a six-month-old the first time I rode a bike with no training wheels. God knows what I'm going to do behind the wheel of a car...
