a friend of mine wanted to try one of my legacy maps that i made (and if you want it give me ur email adress but it's mad hard) and uses mac os x. he got the legacy for mac and couldn't figure out how to load custom wads. how do you do it?

thanks... second question: i'm a doom builder n00b, but i have used other mapbuilders like windeu and radiant... how do i use db to make doors?

Radiant is for Quake2, Quake3 and Doom3 engine games.
Anyway, if you want to ask editing questions, use the editing forum.

Short answer: Look at how a door is built from a map you did in WinDEU and do the same thing in DB. Right-clicking something gives you its properties for you to chang, or read a tutorial.
There are DB tutorials linked from the editing forum I think.
Long answer: make a sector with door linedef types on the lines you want to open the door (front/back). Set the roof height = floor height for the door to start closed. Set "Lower Unpegged" on the sidedefs of on the door frame to keep the doortrak texture from scrolling.

and yes, i'm not stupid, i know radiant is for quake3 engine games.
