HERE IS THE BLOODY MAP.

use a "mirror" that works, since ripway doesn't give too much bandwith

Try here first (http://home.ripway.com/2005-5/302009/NDCP07.wad)
If that didn't work, you can go to gmail, use the username serveri1 and password revres
Then there's a message containing the wad. Go get it.

The map lies in level 7
You'll need the newdtex.wad for this.

Damn, I'll never EVER touch Doombuilder (or any other editor) again.

Please zip the file and password it.

Nah, it's not necessary. It's not anything confidential.

yeah it is actually, maps arent supposed to be released to the public.

Also, what map # is it? Might be wise to rename the map 'ndcp##.wad' for clarification.

Hmm, very Sandy Peterson-ish. I wasnt much a fan of the texturing and architecture, but it was just plain fun to play. I finished on UV with just Rocket ammo left, and I chainsawed the last shotgun guy with 3 health :P. But it was UV, so I guess that's ok. I found all the secrets, some of which were quite cool, (the mancubus room one being the most lucrative). I dont know if the BFG is necessary; replacing that with more shotgun shells might be better for a higher difficulty level would be cool imo. A lot of the puzzles and door effects were brilliant.

Good Job.

Also, you might want to think about the SS guy. I know meant to be a joke, but all it did was distract me from the level as a whole.

Thank you very much. I didn't expect such warm comments from my second (and last) map. You're probably right about the BFG. I'll replace it with a box of shotgun shells. That oughta keep you loaded up. I'm also glad you noticed the puzzles. They're the only thing that keeps this level above the usual crap, while the level isn't visually attractive.

About the passwording though, the newdtex.wad has passworded zip, and people can't play this wad without it, so I find it unnecessary to password this. If I receive one more complaint, though, I will change it.

Oh, and Ultra violence wasn't meant for human beings anyway. :)

Alright, it's all updated.

Damn, he actually finished before I did...

I mean, good work. I'll test this as soon as I get bored. Which is right now *giddy*

Hahaa, good ole DoomedAce. Although I may be a *bit* lazier than some mappers, it won't take me a year to finish a map. ;)

Lazy? Me? I'd rather refer to it as a "controlled mappers block" ;)

It would be preferred that you did the password thing. Anyways I've been away from Dooming for a month or more and I'll see if I can play this tonight. Glad you got it done. Hopefully more maps will get done soon.

Alright, alright. I'll password it.

Here's the new link http://home.ripway.com/2005-5/302009/Identitycheck.zip

I also updated the other "mirror"

I decided to sit down and play the level, for real this time.

It's very fun to play. Some of the puzzles are really clever. I especially liked the blue-key puzzle and the one in the mancubus room that Iori mentioned. It looked like you put extra effort in making the lighting look realistic and I must say that it looked quite good. The jail was also good for a few laughs.
There are a few minor errors, though. I played on Hurt Me Plenty (the default when I launch stuff from DooM Builder) and some of the Imps/Sergeants up the elevator near the entrance were stuck. I also noticed quite a few misalignments, mostly above/under switches. Not that they took away some of the fun or that they were bothersome otherwise, but hey, a guy has to have something to complain about.

Thank you, I fixed the imps and sargeants being stuck. I don't have any will to fix the misaligments, though, since it's a pain in the arse to make it look good in both lower and upper texture.

Hehe, I told you about the lightning. *bliss*

Really, I appreciate your comments. I accept also negative comments, as long as they don't start with "you should add" and end with "more detail". :)

Just make it upper unpegged and lower unpegged, and it should be easy to align.

boom builder has A and SHIFT+A. They work wonders for the lazy.

If I have nothing to do tomorrow, I may fix it.
