Hey guys whats up? Well normally I use jDoom or Legacy as ports but recently I have been interested in Risen 3D. The full installation thingy doesn't really full install for me, I have to extract some binaries.zip thing to Risen 3D afterwards and then the 3.06 patch. But then everytime I start it up it says I dont have the GL nodes. But when I tell it to build them it says it has a fatal error Input/output error and the world is exploding and blah blah blah *chuck* . So how do I get this thing to work? *ugh*

Download binaries first. Install.
Then d\l the launcher. Install to binaries directory.
Then d\l the 3.06 launcher patch. install.
Check your Iwad paths and all should be fine.
Have you read the docs ?

Yea I just tried your advice but I still have the problem of building gl nodes. Each time it tries to build the nodes, it crashes saying there is an input output error.

I cannot think of anything else.... I suggest you email Abbs on the Risen3d homepage detailing everything you can.

I'm wondering if your IWADS have been altered ( edited in any way ), the normal nodes rebuilt or you have embedded the gl nodes in them.
I myself recently did this with freedoom ( doom2.wad) and also got an i\o error.
IOW your IWADS should be stock standard. Not modified in any way.
