Hey. I need tech support. I dled Doom64: Absolution, and I can't run it windowed. There is no option within the program - that I know of - which would disable fullscreen, and nothing else has worked. Is there any way to go in and edit the program? Is there any solution to this problem, since others have had issues with it?

oh yeah. (i made sure to read through everything that has been posted on this topic in this forum by using the search function. since i am in a "new environment," i did not want to sound like an idiot to boot.)
the alt and enter buttons select things, call the menu... so when i press alt+enter together, i get to the 'select difficulty' menu for a new game because it's like i hit select twice. the first - whether the computer registers the alt or enter command first does not matter (they're the same button) - was to call the main menu. the second was to select 'new game' and come to the difficulty settings.
alternatively, going with alt+tab minimizes the game. when i click on the Absolution toolbar down on the bottom of the screen, a gray block comes up in the shape of what the game should be if it were functioning properly.

How about the shortcut proporties.... Sometimes you can change programs to open in a window there...

i have a shortcut in my start menu, and i tried it with that one. it didn't work. i doubt a shortcut from my desktop could yield better results. i'll try it though...
tried it. didn't work. *spin*

This may - or may not - work.
Create a batch file and type in it ..... Absolution.exe -win

ok. i wrote up the batch file.
my batch.bat = Absolution.exe -win
however, there's a batch file already in the folder that seems to have something to do with how the program opens.
opengl.bat = Absolution.exe -gl drOpenGL.dll
what to do? do i replace that file with my file, and if so, should i keep the old name? if i replace it, should i add the drOpenGL.dll ending to the new one?
so many questions, so little patience.

that just loads abosolution in open gl mode. It's up to you what you want to do, you can either modify that one:
Absolution.exe -gl drOpenGL.dll -win
or just use your own one.
