Recently, I have been getting an error with D3ROE.
Instead of crashing to desktop every five or so minutes, it insteads freezes, and does not let me move around or respond, I had no other options than to restart my cpu.
It's been doing this since I bought it, what the hell is wrong?!
Thanks in advance,
Unconscious.

I've also had freezing problems, but they turned out to be temporary...the framerate was just slowing to a crawl in certain areas. From what I can tell, RoE is much more of a resource hog than Doom 3. You might first try dropping your in-game graphics settings significantly.

So, it's not actual freezing? It may just be severe slowdowns?
It looks like it is not responding, the sounds repeat themselves, nothing moves, and sometimes I get a "Doom 3 has encountered a problem and need to close" message.
My settings are on low, without special effects.
I have a Radeon 9200.

It can't be slowdowns, every single time it's crashed, i've been getting a "Doom 3 has encounted an error and needs to close", message.
PS: Sorry for double post.

I'm running a Radeon 9800 Pro, and I only get slowdowns in certain areas. Some of them freeze the screen for as much as a couple of minutes, complete with repeated sounds. It almost always happens when a sentry bot is fighting demons.
Perhaps what you've got is the same thing I've got, just worse because of your card. Still, you could try a few other things:
-- update your video drivers
-- replace your video drivers with Omega drivers
-- update Direct X
-- reinstall RoE
Anyone else have suggestions?

When I updated to the omegadrivers, I got spammed with complaints that certain files could not be found, and that it doesn't support certain things, thus, ROE would not launch.
I already have the latest DirectX.
Do you ever get the message that ROE has encountered a problem and needs to close?
