Can doomIII EXP pack be played on Windows 98?

Using the same hack to play doom 3 on windows 98, can you buy the EXP. pack and play that without any trouble, and if there is trouble is there any known way around it?

Any advise would be helpful.

The regular Hack works on D3exp too...

I do not see why not. If It works on windows 98 why did they make it XP only in the first place? You are still paying the damn money to play, why did they have to restrict it to one OS? Another bright plan from microsoft
