DOOM 3 Graphical Issue

When I play DOOM 3, all the characters are half-shaded, so they all look like Two-Face. Is there any way to make the game so it dosen't do this?

My computer's specs:

Intel Celeron CPU 2.00 Ghz
1.99 Ghz, 512 MB RAM
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
64.0 MB

I'm planning on buying a new computer, but until then, I'd like help for my old one.

How do you fix that character shading problem in DOOM 3?

I have the same problem with my Laptop. It's just a low end graphics card and can't render shadows well. (ATI 9000 IGP 64meg) Try turning off or turn down the shadows. That should help.

But I turn off "enable shadows" in advanced options every time I play. Is there something I can do by tweaking the game?

To be honest I deleted Doom3 off the laptop because of this issue. I even tryied loading updated drivers but they couldn't recognize my video card so I gave up it. I will load it back on and see If I can get rid of it and let you know if I find anything that helps.

Yeah, I think it is to do with low-end gfx cards, the same happens on my dad's Geforce 4mx 440 (64mb)

I suggest a 128mb gfx card :) (Geforce 6600GT is very good:))

That's what I originally bought for my computer, but then it ticked me off to find out my computer didn't have an AGP slot. That's the main reason I want a new one.
