Weird Titlepic

Anyone know what is up with the weird titlepic for the new MegaWAD called "Kama Sutra"?

Why would you even name it "Kama Sutra" to begin with? Lol!

I think it is a very good WAD but the titlepic doesn't seem to fit, the name either but then again I've seen many weird things in some people's mapping.

I understand it is a good thing to be creative but holy jumpin', what does East Indian sex practices have to do with DOOM!?

If you read my post I didn't say it wasn't good, all in all it is good, it's just that stupid level 30 and the weird titlepic which I noticed for now. It gives me the willies to think the mappers might be both male because I've never heard of the name Adolf given to a female.

This WAD does have the potential for greatness, I just can't understand why you'd throw a wrench into it and weird it out with a name like Kama Sutra and a titlepic that suggests sexual activity between men like that lol. Must I say again? This is DOOM! Not an arena for people's weird beliefs and practices.

I think you're reading way too much into this. They just chose the name at random (http://www.volny.cz/ksutra/news.html) (see 11.04.2004 comments), and then put in a couple of things based on it. Silly perhaps, but that's all, and even if you find it objectionable, then it's only a tiny aspect of a huge and impressive project.

If you want to avoid this stuff, always use -warp to go directly to each level (to skip the title screen), and avoid map30 (or use the "kids" route).

Hmm I here ya but it is crazy that they've created all these very good maps and then give the project a name like that and such a questionable titlepic that gives the impression that they are in a same sex relationship.

It's just a shame because a better name, titlepic and without the childish scene from map 30 might have put this one right up there along side AV, Requiem and HR.

I look at titlepics for about 3 seconds so why does it bother you so much?
The other 31 levels have nothing to do with it.

I think these levels have a good design and I'm totally not bothered
by a titlepic and one map that goes with it.

I can "maybe" "maybe"understand that they used the name Kama Sutra for a DOOM wad because they can't dream up a better one out of a possible million that would have been much much better but choosing that titlepic with thier names on it and the arrows pointing to the two people in a Kama Sutra position indicating that this what they like to do when not mapping is totally outrageous and I don't want to see that.

Man, that titlepic from KS was just a joke (typical czech), I hoped nobody could take it seriously.
So we aren't gays, really :)

Name like KamaSutra? It's original and easily rememberable. And we haven't had any better idea.

And a sexual topic? You see it's just a joke again, it's used in map30 only, and this map is taken just as a bonus map after all that playing. I got many ideas from my friends such as giving some texture with KS position into each map... that's surely so stupid. That topic wanted to be just symbolic not to run through the whole game.

And map30 I wanted to have somehow different and originall and somehow I haven't got any better idea.
Somebody can love it somebody can hate it, that's what I supposed, if you don't wanna play it you can miss it.

Oh and Ninja, unlike these guys who supposedly say we couldn't think of a better name than Kama Sutra for a DOOM MegaWAD, I however was at least able to think of CtrlKeyEmAll for my DOOM handle simply because I use the keyboard and mouse to play DOOM and I've configured the left CTRL key as my fire button (which didn't burn all my brain cells to think of it) and NOT......oh let's go tip-toe through the pansies and stop under that tree for a little Kama Sutra.......LOL!
