It keeps telling me I have to "add new hardware"

When I load windows (log on) my computer says it has found new hardware, when Every piece of hardware has been installed.

When it says what the hardware is for it says "unknown"

How can I stop this from happening?

There may be some chipset or device that its still detecting, try loading the latest and greatest chipset drivers for you mainboard see if that helps install whatever it is its wanting to install

I actually think its my 3d sterio glasses that its still detecting, even though I have installed the drivers. I'll disconnect them and see if it still detects ;)
