I was tempted to say either the BFG or Plasma Gun, but overall I gotta go with the chainsaw. Firing that up, and then ripping demons apart with it at close range just never gets old. *diablo*

Hmm, damn, this is hard to decide on...

I'd have to say, firepower aside, the standard single-action shotgun. There's just something very satisfying about blasting through a room full of imps and commandos with that thing. I love the sound it makes. :D

Definately the Soul Cube. But in the Expansion pack, it's the Grabber. (HL2 Gravity gun inspiration anyone?)

If the iD guys kept the orig. sound for the Plasma gun from the olde Doom games, and not use a weird "PEE-PEE-PPEEWWW!" sound for the Doom3 plasma gun, THAT would be my favorite.

Double Barrel Shotgun.

Speaking of the grabber. Try deflecting Revenant rockets.... its a freaking riot. Watched my bro messing around and he killed two Revenants by deflecting rockets. It kinda grabs em and they keep flying, sometimes heading back to the sender in an arc. haha what a riot. :D

for reg doom3, its the shotgun in the beginning, then once i get the chainsaw, i just run up to everything, esp arch-viles and just kill them in a few seconds only taking about 5 dmg at most
in the expansion, its definately a tie with the double-barreled shotgun vs pinky, hell knights, arch-vile, bosses; the artifact vs machinegun zombies, shotgun zombies, bosses, stronger demons or in places that are crowded, and the grabber, simply vs imps, and Forgottens (fun throwing them)

SG, SSG and Rocket launcher. For the original doom, I cheat for the rocket launcher and gib everything in sight. I wonder if people actually cheat for the rocket launcher and blow everything up with it.

see i play classic doom 2 alot...dont know if anyone plays that game much anymore...my favorite wepn in doom 2 is teh super shotgun aka double barrel shotgun.
