megawads?

how do i make megawads in doombuilder?
i can only get 1 level at a time @ the moment!

You build one level at a time and save them into the same wad I tink. Or you can use XWE to merge the wads.

Doom Builder has a "Save Map Into..." function, I think in the file menu. What it does is dump the level of the wad you have open, into another wad of your choice. I'm not certain if it also dumps extra lumps as well, such as graphics or music.

With XWE, just save each map with the name you want for it. IE map01. map02 etc. I advise saving each map as 01 and testing that way. Make sure each map can be beaten on any skill level first, then combine them all into one. (if you are putting skill levels in.) Most players here are at expert level and want a serious challenge, but don't forget some are 12 years old (or less) and just discovering Doom for the first time. :)

Mapping is an art, and like any other art, it is always as unique and different as the artist. Listen to opinions and ideas, of course, but don't do anything just because someone else says it's the way it should be done. You'll find that this forum, especially, is frequented by the most talented and knowledgeable people. (I'd be absolutely nowhere without the great help I have found here!) But don't make any maps that try to copy someone else, and don't let people tell you that your maps are too difficult - or not difficult enough. If you like what you have made and have fun playing it, then be proud of it! My favorite maps and mapsets prolly ain't gonna be your favorites, but who cares? Just do everything the best you can and chances are someone is gonna enjoy the hell outta what you make.
