I need an honest opinion about my recently re-released map "To Hell and Back". It would be great if someone could test it for me for any bugs, since it was my first map. You can get it at my site under the "Old Doom 2 wads" section. Just post a peply here.

It should'nt take longer than 5 min. to finish the level if you know what your doing...

I've played it, Its a good level in design, everything looks nice, and the doom 64 noises are a good touch but i found even on the easiest mode there is simply not enough ammo to kill all three, 600 ammo for the bfg can take one perhaps 2 down but there are not enough rockets ( about 24) to kill the others (Unless there are places to get ammo other then the initial starting point and I missed it) also, try to make the way to the exit a little mroe complex or difficult, I managed to get to the exit without firing a single shot, I know that may be hard to come up with but there are many creative ways to force the player to kill the cyberdemons ;) Hope that helped.

Well the player gets to choose.

1. Kill all the Cyberdemons and pave the way (only possible on the easiest difficulty) *guilty*
2. Run like a beeoch to all four switches and wait for the lifts to come up. *weird*

The point is not nessessarily to kill all the Cyberdemons... But Do you think it would be cooler to add some more enemies? Like a dozzen Imps, some Bull Demons, scatter a few Cocodemons around... Then add more weapon pick ups? This thought just came to me...

I think so, because everything below ultra violance its not to difficult to dodge the missles due to the area being so large, its a cool idea though with all thebarrels around, just add some more 'leathal' things and monsters in the level and it should be good as gold. :P

Oh dear christ. An honest opinion?

I realize this is the typical thing to do when starting out in making Doom levels, but please, for the love of Murphy, ixnay on the yberdemoncay. With very rare exceptions, cyberdemons have a nigh-supernatural ability to turn an otherwise good level into magnum suck--and an arena level with no purpose other than to fight cyberdemons is deep in the realms of "been there, done that, no earthly interest in ever doing it again."

I've seen some of your more recent levels, so I know you're capable of much better.

Catsy its not about killing the cyberdeamons but Dodgeing them!!! O_____O like doom dodgeball =P Seriously though we all know he is better then that, but everyone is entitled to their 'just for amusement' levels, heck just take a look at my "Hells fire!" Wad on my site, insane isnt it? *drinky*

Throw in about 12 Barons and 6-8 spiders to play with the Cyb and you'll get a real cinematic experience.
