new flash site for me :) i know it isn't much, but its like the 1337est thing i've done in flash so far.
the map, Bay of Flames is a single player zdoom map. screenshots are on WIP...well not yet, Boris hasn't approved it. (i had to use the paci-first.org domian, so i hope that has no effect on it.) the map should also be in this weeks newstuff, though i'm not exactly sure if i uploaded it right, i'm still pretty retarded there. anyway, play, enjoy, and tell me what you think of it and the site.
EDIT: don't bother pointing out the main section looks messed up. its only in IE. strange that a pop-up script would work in Firefox but not Ineternet Explorer. o well, if your using IE then you don't deserve to see the site in its perfect form.

Your site looks awesome. That said, I hate Flash sites. Fundamentally they break half the concept of how a webpage should work in terms of functionality.
*awaits appearance of screens* :)

Well I just played it. Was a fun, hard wad with some neat effects.
By the way, is that supposed to be steam at the beginning? I think that could look better but anyways... its not easy to do steam. ;)
Oohh and anouther thing. I think the lava should hurt and you could have some stepping stones rise out of the lava during one of those tremor thinghys. That would be cool. ;)
Good work and it has a certain HeXenish feel to it. :D What will you do next?

*gulp* uh, yeah that, but i also got other stuff cooking...
anyway, yeah good suggestions Doom_Dude. thats supposed to be light rays or whatever... it was hard to make it look convincing. there were a lot of things i tried, but the version you see in the wad is the one that best reflected the idea in my head. i hoped the sound effect would convey the right feel to help the player see what it was. about the lava, the idea was this kind of lava was crust over and safe to walk on, and that in latter levels (which never got made) there would be areas that broke away as you stepped on them, dropping you into the hotter, hurtful lava. the stepping stone idea sure makes a lot more sense that what i actually did...heh.
@Alio, yup i agree. its a bitch to update too, but it looks cool so o well. i'm going to put screens up on the html version today and then work screenshots into the flash version, and that should be done sometime soon.
thanks guys, glad you didn't hate it.

hehe sold your soul to the devil... I mean Lutrov. ;)
I should've clued in to that being light rays. :)
The sounds effect of the lava was good. It helped add some ambience to the lava areas.

I'll have to play with it once I get home. Can' t really play with Doom stuff at work anymore, alas.
Is it Zdoom-required, or Zdoom-preferred?

I like the sky, I didn't know you could animate a sky. Maybe I'll use that technique in a zdoom map I'm working on.

good thing i did switch to that sky and not stick with the earlier one, or it would really be messed up in ZDoomGL
