View Full Version : How do I auto-load jDRP?

In the jDRP readme file it says:

Doomsday has built in support to automatically load data files if placed in the
correct folder. To use this feature this is where you need to place the jDRP files:

jDRP.pk3 --> Doomsday/Data/jDoom/auto
jDRP.ded --> Doomsday/Defs/jDoom/auto
\Docs\*.* --> Doomsday/docs

I have done exactly what it says above, but the pack still does not work. I have even tried it on a clean install of Doomsday 1.8.6 (with no other packs installed).

What's the problem?

The JDRP has an installer that would put everything into the correct paths, doesn't it? Even if its in auto, make sure you don't have to check it off anyway.

You're right about that. But I want it to automatically load when not using KickStart. If I put the files in the Auto folder like quoted in my above post, it does not automatically load - for instance when starting the game by executing jdoom.exe. All the other packs load automatically (jDEP and jDUI), but not jDRP. That's the problem ...

OK, it doesn't matter anymore, so don't bother answering if you don't wanna waste your time :)
