I spent untold ages on trying to come up with a name for my Legacy project only so I can organise all my files and shit because its becoming a mess and...... I think I fried some cells.

[edit] For those who may give a crap I'm making a Doom 2, Legacy wad that will contain 12 levls full of 3D floors and all of the maps will be set in Gothic / Medieval styled areas. My previously released Blood Pentagram will be the entry map and I have the start on the 2nd level, Sign Of The Cross.

hehe, this won't be done till Vilecore II is finished and they have the C++ version of Legacy released. This project is just something for me to pick away at in between working on the Vile maps. I might go with Dark Sojourn or Stalking Evil....

I got Vilecore II, Shadowcore and Deathcore used already not to mention the Aztecore level in Vilecore. Nothing wrong with it but id like to stray from it this time. ;)

It's always hard to name a level without knowing what it looks like (and sometimes even that doesn't help :p)

Symbols of Pain sounds cool, though.

Actually I don't have problems naming levels but naming megawads / episodes is a right pain.

Still not sure what Im gonna do exactly but.... Symbols Of Pain was the original name I was going to use. The idea was that each level in the episode would be represented in some way by a different Symbol. The first map Blood Pentagram of course has the huge floating 3d floor Pentagram in it and the 2nd level Sign of The Cross will have some large crosses in it. The other map 'O' of Corruption, I was going to release on it's own fits into the wad with the 'O' being the symbol in that level. So I might as well take that idea and go with it since the other names don't fit right.

Some of the Symbolish map names I might use...

Tower Naudh (Nordic rune for misery)
Hexagon Temple
Halls Of Aquarius
The Eye Of Fire (this one is an Ancient Germanic symbol but I can't find a good picture of it... meh)

Still not sure if I want to do the Symbol thing. Theres a lot of Symbols to work with but I have other map ideas that don't fit any symbols such as BlackIce Keep... hmmmm. Time to think some more on this. hehe

I suppose that the maps don't have to have Symbolish names....
