My latest piece, Not a part of the broken earth series though. Roughly 6 hours of non stop photoshopping was put into this one.

Very nice. I much prefer this one to the other one you posted. The composition is better in this one but the lighting is a bit off.

FYI - The halo vissible around a planet when looking out to space is mostly caused by light reflecting of water. Be it sea or water particles in the atmosphere (clouds). If a planet has a thin atmosphere and is a mostly made up of dessert/rock there is a lot less ambient lighting. For example our moon. The more it is in eclipse with the sun the 'sharper' the shadow looks on the dark side of the moon.
