Howdy all!
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing an isometric multiplayer Doom game where you can play as a marine or one of the legion of enemies in the classic Doom games.
I have been working on the basic game engine, and in the next few weeks, I'll share a link to the beta-testing site, if anyone here is interested...
This is to be a freeware homage to the greatest FPS game, and I hope it will be fun to play.
If you are interested, reply to this thread!
have a good one!

Seems like a good idea. Hope to play it soon. *thumbs*
If you want to catch people's attention with this, and I'm sure you will, it's better to post this in the editing forum where more people will read it. After all, you're editing Doom in some way, right?

Ok, Thanks! I'm a newbie to this forum, and didn't know the best place to post. I should have something to share tomorrow. I have one bug in the chat I want to fix first.

I will most likely use the old Doom GUI bar (with the guy's face)
and the chat will be re-worked.

Looks good
P.S.: I know your new and its not a big deal yet, but the mods get mad when you double post, there is an edit button which you can use if you forget something or want to add something.

Gotcha!
I'll make a formal posting about this project tomorrow, but if you'd like to try it out,
Here's the latest build:
No character selection(you are the doom guy), and no shooting....but the basic wall collision, multiplayer code, sound, music, and teleport code are there...
There is also a basic chat. and a few bugs (I hafta work on the floating usernames)
http://24.193.145.155:1250/Dropbox/dw7.zip
There will be MUCH more in the near future.
For now, just run around and test it out...
have a good night! :)
